Observation

As I approached the home childcare I did not observe Madison McElrath through the front window and window pane in the door. I observed her own infant eating in a low chair with tray. After I knocked, I saw her come from the kitchen to let me into the childcare. The low chair is visible from the kitchen. After several minutes, I asked if other children were in care. She said there were and gestured toward the rear of the childcare. I walked through two rooms to the third and two children were lying on napmats awake. Approximately 15 minutes later, she went to this room to assist her own child in transitioning to sleep. The rear room is not visible in any way from the kitchen or the main, front child care room. Furthermore, it would be difficult to hear children speaking in low tones or whispering from the main, front child care room. The door alarm system in place was not on and active when this licensor was present.
